Each piece is cut, hammered by hand for texture and shape, and then heated to various temperatures to achieve its unique and individual colors. Montana artist John Rose can coax a rainbow of colors to materialize out of basic copper, even though it seems implausible that the vivid colors are produced by heat alone. Each piece of jewelry is handmade and individually heated, and as such, has individual color combinations, gradations, and nuances that make it exclusive. Rose's quality craftsmanship is apparent not only in his ability to transform colors, but also in the quality of the welds, jewelry backings and clasps in these products.
