Each piece is cut, hammered by hand for texture and shape, and then heated to various temperatures to achieve its unique and individual colors. Montana artist John Rose can coax a rainbow of colors to materialize out of basic copper, even though it seems implausible that the vivid colors are produced by heat alone.
