Life is about the freedom of choice and the Matrix waist pack was specifically designed with two removable side pockets just to accommodate a variety of activity levels and trip needs. The pocket on the right holds a 10 oz. bottle and the pocket on the left has a zippered pouch and 4 oz. gel bottle; both pockets can be slipped off when you don't need the extra liquid and don't want any extra bulk. The belt's chief feature is a horizontal water bottle holder with an Ultimate bottle and zippered pocket in the back.
